JEE Main 2025 April 4 Exam Live

The JEE Main 2025 exam was held in India on April 4. Many students from across the country took part in it. The exam was held in two shifts – morning and evening. This article will help you understand what happened in the first shift. It will also share details about the exam paper and student reactions.

Shift 1 (Morning): Paper Review and Reactions

The first shift started at 9:00 AM and ended at 12:00 PM. Many students shared their views after the exam. Some found it hard, while others said it was fair. Let’s now look at each subject one by one.

Mathematics:

To begin with, Maths was the hardest part.

  • Many questions were long and tricky.

  • So, students took more time to solve them.

  • Topics came from Algebra, Calculus, and Geometry.

  • As a result, some students could not finish the paper on time.

  • Therefore, they felt this section needed better time planning.

Physics:

Next, let’s look at Physics.

  • This part was not too hard.

  • Although a few questions were tricky, students could solve them with good practice.

  • The paper had questions from Mechanics, Modern Physics, and Electrostatics.

  • Most students felt this section was fair and well-balanced.

  • So, they were happy with how it went.

Chemistry:

After that, let’s talk about Chemistry.

  • This section was the easiest for many students.

  • Most questions came from NCERT books.

  • They were based on Inorganic, Organic, and Physical Chemistry.

  • Also, the questions were short and simple.

  • Because of that, students were able to finish this part quickly.

Overall View of Shift 1:

All in all, the Shift 1 paper was moderate.

  • Chemistry was simple and quick.

  • Physics was fair and doable.

  • But, since Mathematics was hard and time-taking, many students found the full paper a bit tough.

  • So, students who managed time well were more confident.

Shift 2 (Evening): Paper Review and Reactions

The second shift began at 3:00 PM and ended at 6:00 PM. Students felt this paper was also moderate.

Mathematics

  • Maths was time-taking.

  • Many students said the questions were about Vectors, 3D Geometry, and Calculus. They found these topics familiar.

  • Solving all questions was hard in the given time.

Physics

  • Physics was easier in Shift 2 than in Shift 1.

  • Many questions were formula-based.

  • Topics included Optics, Electromagnetism, and Modern Physics.

  • Students who revised well found it easy.

Chemistry

  • Chemistry was again easy to moderate.

  • Questions were directly from NCERT.

  • Topics from all three branches – Organic, Inorganic, and Physical were covered.

In summary, Shift 2 was okay for most students. Maths was again the hardest part.

What Students Said

  • Most students said Maths was hard and long.

  • They said Physics and Chemistry were easier.

  • Some students said practicing old papers really helped.

  • Many agreed that questions from NCERT books were useful.

So, even though the paper was not hard, time management was important.
