NEET UG Counselling 2025: Round 1 Reporting Ends Today, Round 2 Registration to Start Soon

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced that the reporting process for NEET UG counselling 2025 Round 1 will officially close today, August 22, 2025. All students who were allotted seats in Round 1 must finish their reporting at the respective colleges or institutes within the deadline.
Students need to carry their original documents, admission letter, and required certificates while reporting. Without this step, their seats will be cancelled and moved to the next round.
According to MCC, more than 22 lakh students appeared for NEET UG 2025, and around 1.09 lakh MBBS seats and 27,868 BDS seats are available in India this year. Out of these, 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats are filled through MCC counselling, while the rest are filled through state counselling.
What Happens After NEET UG Counselling 2025 Round 1?
Once Round 1 reporting ends, MCC will start preparing for Round 2 counselling. This round will help students who did not get a seat or want to upgrade their seat.

Seat Vacancies: All seats left after Round 1 will move into Round 2.

Upgradation Option: Students can apply for a better college or course.

Fresh Registration: New students can also register in Round 2.

NEET UG 2025 Counselling Schedule
The counselling process has four rounds: Round 1, Round 2, Mop-up Round, and Stray Vacancy Round. Below is the updated schedule:
