JEE Main 2026 Form Correction Window

JEE Main 2026 Form Correction Window Opens

The NTA has now opened the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 form correction window on its website jeemain.nta.nic.in. Since many students make small mistakes during registration, this window is very important. Also, because the window is open for only two days, students must act fast.

Moreover, NTA has asked all students to check their forms carefully before submitting. Although the form was earlier checked during the application stage, this final chance will help students avoid big problems later. As a result, students feel more safe and confident.

Important Dates You Should Note

Event Date
Form Correction Window December 1 to December 2, 2025
Session 1 Exam January 21 to January 30, 2026
Session 2 Exam April 2026

Because more than 14 lakh students apply for JEE Main each year, these dates matter a lot. Therefore, students should not wait till the last minute.

What You Can Change and What You Cannot

Students can change some parts of their form. For instance, they can edit exam city, category, gender, photo, signature, and school details. However, some fields cannot be changed. These include the student’s name, date of birth, email ID, and mobile number.

Since these fixed details will appear on the admit card, students must be careful. Even one wrong letter can cause issues during verification. Therefore, cross-check everything.

Why This Correction Window Matters

This correction window is very helpful because it allows students to remove errors that may cause rejection. Even a small mistake, like a wrong exam city, can make travel very hard. Similarly, a blurry photo may get rejected. Thus, this window protects students from problems on exam day.

Furthermore, because competition is high, every step matters. When details are correct, students can fully focus on their study plan instead of worrying about mistakes. In addition, corrected details help NTA print accurate admit cards, which students must carry to the exam centre.

JEE Main 2026 Syllabus and Pattern

The JEE Main syllabus remains the same as last year. It mostly follows NCERT Class 11 and 12 chapters. Therefore, students who study NCERT books already cover a large part of the exam.

There are three papers:

Paper For Subjects
Paper 1 B.E./B.Tech Physics, Chemistry, Maths
Paper 2A B.Arch Maths, Aptitude, Drawing
Paper 2B B.Planning Maths, Aptitude, Planning

Because the exam follows a fixed pattern, students can start practising early. As a result, they gain speed and confidence by the time the exam arrives.

Steps to Correct Your Form

Although the steps are simple, students must follow them slowly.

  1. Visit jeemain.nta.nic.in
  2. Click on the form correction link
  3. Log in with your application number and password
  4. Open the form
  5. Edit only allowed fields
  6. Upload clear photo or signature if needed
  7. Save all changes
  8. Submit and download the updated copy
  9. Keep it safe

Because mistakes cannot be changed after submission, check every field twice.

Common Mistakes Students Must Avoid

Students often repeat the same errors. Therefore, NTA has shared a list of things to avoid.

  • Selecting the wrong exam city
  • Uploading a dark or unclear photo
  • Choosing the wrong category
  • Selecting the wrong paper
  • Entering wrong school details

Since these mistakes cause issues later, students should read each field slowly and carefully.

What Students Should Do Next

Now that the correction window has opened, students should first update their forms. After that, they should begin revising NCERT chapters. Moreover, they should solve past papers because these help them understand question styles. Finally, they should stay calm and study a little every day.

With correct forms and steady preparation, students can move closer to their dream engineering college.
