JoSAA 2025 Round 1 Result Out

New Delhi, June 14, 2025: The JoSAA 2025 Round 1 result is now officially declared on josaa.nic.in. Students who appeared for JEE Main or JEE Advanced 2025 and registered for JoSAA counselling can now check their Round 1 seat allotment result. The cutoff marks for top NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs have also been released.

Let’s break down the details of the admission process in a simple way for all 12th pass-out students aiming to join engineering courses in India.

 

How to Check Your Seat Allotment

  1. Visit josaa.nic.in

  2. Click on “View Seat Allotment Result – Round 1”

  3. Login with your JEE Main/Advanced roll number and password

  4. See your allocated institute and course

  5. Download the seat allotment letter for next steps

 

Round 1 Cut-Off Released

The Round 1 opening and closing ranks for all institutions are now available. Many top NITs and IIITs have published cut-off lists. For instance:

  • NIT Trichy, CSE: Closing rank ~1104 (Home State)

  • NIT Warangal, CSE: Closing rank ~2135 (Open category)

These numbers show who got seats and help you predict your chances in future rounds.

 

Important Dates to Remember

  • Round 1 result: June 14, 2025

  • Seat acceptance, fee payment & choice response: June 14–18, 2025 (till 5 PM)

  • Round 2 result: June 21, 2025

If you are happy with your seat, you must accept it online and upload your documents by June 18.

 

Options After Seat Allotment

After Round 1, you have choices:

  • Freeze: Keep this seat and stop in further rounds

  • Slide: Move to a better branch in the same college

  • Float: Wait for a better seat in the next round

Eligibility & Documents You Need

Eligibility:

  • Qualified in JEE Main 2025

  • 75% marks in Class 12 or top 20 percentile (65% for SC/ST)

  • JEE Advanced medal needed for IIT seats

Documents:

  • Seat allotment letter

  • JEE Main/Advanced scorecards

  • Class 10 & 12 certificates

  • Photo ID (Aadhaar, Passport, etc.)

  • Category certificate (if applicable)

  • Passport-size photo

Scan and upload clear copies before June 18.

 

What Happens Next after JoSAA 2025 Round 1?

If you did not get a seat in Round 1, you can still participate in Rounds 2 to 6. Many students get upgraded seats later. But you must stay active, login, and follow announcements.

Physical reporting to your college will happen after JoSAA rounds, possibly during CSAB counselling (if vacancies remain).
