The Maharashtra State CET Cell has introduced a new normalization process. This change is for the MAH MBA CET 2025 exam. This change will ensure that teachers grade all students fairly. This applies even if, for instance, they take the exam on different days and at varying times. Explore MAH MBA CET 2025 Normalization in details.

Why is MAH MBA CET 2025 Normalization Important?

The MAH MBA CET 2025 will take place in many sessions from April 1 to April 3, 2025. Since the exam will happen on different days, some papers may be easier, while others may be harder. As a result, students may get different marks based on the session they attend.

Because of this, the scores may not be fair. But don’t worry. To make things equal, the system uses a process called normalization..

  • What is Normalization?: It is a method that changes scores. So, all students are judged in the same way, no matter which session they wrote the test in.

  • Why is it Needed?: Without normalization, one group may get higher marks just because their paper was easier. With normalization, all scores are adjusted. This makes the results fair for everyone.

  • How Does it Help?: It gives each student a fair chance. It means your result depends on your hard work, not on the paper’s difficulty.

So, even though the paper levels may vary, this method helps compare everyone equally. Therefore, normalization plays a big role in keeping the exam fair.

How Does the MAH MBA CET 2025 Normalization Process Work?

The process changes raw scores into percentile scores. A percentile score tells you how many students scored the same as one student. It helps compare their performance. t shows how many scored lower.

  • If a student gets the highest score in a session, their percentile score will be 100.

  • If a student scores the average marks, their percentile will be around 50.

  • The system calculates scores to seven decimal places. This helps to prevent ties between students.

Percentile Score Formula

The percentile score is calculated using this formula:

Percentile Score = 100 x (Number of candidates in the session with raw score ≤ your score) / Total number of candidates in the session

This ensures fair marking for all students.

How Does MAH MBA CET 2025 Normalization Affect Students?

Students don’t need to stress about how hard the exams are. The normalization process ensures everyone receives fair scores. If one session proves more difficult than another, we will change the marks. This will, in fact, ensure that they reflect the overall performance of all students.
